How Altoure BV collects, uses, and protects your personal data

This Privacy Policy explains how Altoure BV ("Altoure", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Belgium (VAT/enterprise number: BE 1019.119.810, registered address: Orchideeënlaan 5, 8200 Bruges, Belgium), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit our website, contact us, or communicate with us via WhatsApp or other channels, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian Data Protection Act.

1. Who is responsible for your data?

Altoure is the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy, meaning we decide why and how your data is processed.

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data (e.g. health, religion, biometric data) and our services are not directed at children under 16.

4. How we communicate with you (WhatsApp & third-party platforms)

We use WhatsApp Business Platform, provided via Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd and delivered through our WhatsApp Business Solution Provider 360dialog GmbH (Germany), to send and receive messages with you. When you message us on WhatsApp:

  • Your phone number and message content are processed by 360dialog and Meta as our data processors/sub-processors, under their own terms and privacy policies, in addition to this policy.
  • Meta may process metadata about the communication in line with the WhatsApp Business Privacy Policy.
  • As 360dialog is based in Germany (EU), message data is processed within the EU, though it may pass through Meta's infrastructure as described above — see Section 6 on international transfers.
  • We only send you marketing/template messages via WhatsApp if you have opted in, in line with WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy.

5. Who we share your data with

We share data only where necessary, with:

  • Service providers / processors: 360dialog (WhatsApp messaging infrastructure), Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform), our website hosting provider (DigitalOcean), and our email provider (SendGrid). We do not currently use third-party website analytics.
  • Professional advisors: accountants, lawyers, auditors, where necessary.
  • Authorities: where required by Belgian or EU law (e.g. tax authorities, law enforcement).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

6. International data transfers

Some of our processors (e.g. Meta) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including to the United States. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or an adequacy decision.

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing
  • Data portability for data you provided to us
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

9. Cookies

Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts and does not currently set its own analytics or marketing cookies. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future (e.g. for analytics), this section will be updated and a consent banner will be added, in line with GDPR/ePrivacy rules.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure hosting.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to you where required by law.
